littleguys for Claude Code, Codex and ACP agents
Claude Code and Codex,
in your menu bar.
littleguys starts Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or any other Agent Client Protocol (ACP) agent on your Mac and gives each one a little guy in the menu bar. You chat with it, approve its commands and schedule routines from a small window instead of a terminal tab. It uses the login you already have for each tool.
What you see
- One guy per agent, each working in the folder you pick. The menu bar shows when one is working, has replied or needs you.
- Permission prompts become cards: allow once, always allow, or deny. Slash commands and skills are in the composer.
- Routines: a prompt on a schedule, with run-now and history. Results land in a thread.
- Past sessions (Claude Code): every session from every folder, to pick up again in littleguys, like
claude --resume.
Set it up
- Have the agent signed in on this Mac (run
claudeonce, orcodex login), and Node.js installed: littleguys starts the agent's ACP adapter withnpx. - Install littleguys with Homebrew or the .dmg (below), 15 MB.
- Add a gateway → Agents (ACP), pick Claude Agent or Codex from the ACP registry, choose the folder it works in, and click Add. The first start downloads the adapter.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't watch or attach to a Claude Code or Codex session that's running in your terminal. littleguys starts its own agent process and talks to it over stdio. If you want to watch terminal sessions, a menu bar monitor does that.
- Routines for these agents run only while littleguys is open. A run that comes due while it's closed is skipped, not caught up later.
- It isn't an IDE or a full workspace: no git review pane, worktrees or terminal. The comparison shows who has those.
